Each aspect of life is linked to electronics in one way or another. The exciting world of electronics requires very good math and analytical background. In the past decade and a half, mobile telephony and personal communication systems have grown exponentially. The world is now dealing with smart networks, smart electronic devices and advanced access techniques. The department emphasizes a deeper understanding of the basics of electronics and communication, digital processing, computing, new protocols and access techniques, which are essential for teachers and students alike. Challenges and expectations in the industry are disseminated by in-plant training, workshops, seminars, symposiums and conferences among students. The infrastructure and laboratory facilities are upgraded from time to time in accordance with the curriculum and provide students with a favourable learning environment and an innovative environment. Students are also maintaining local chapters of professional society IETE, ISTE, IEEE, IE(I) etc. Our students won several awards in different technical paper presentations, quizzes and project competitions, as well as in our cultural and sporting events. We organize industrial training, invited lectures, internships and workshops to give students a good understanding of current technological developments. We aim to produce highly skilled as well as scientifically oriented manpower through flexible, progressive and adaptive training programs through a vibrant interaction among the research organizations, academicians and industries. The main focus is to mold the students to blossom into meritorious and self-disciplined professional engineers through smart work.
