Community service cell “SAMAJ”
Activity: LED lamp assembly training , energy conservation awareness and corona awareness program in PDS-Swayam Sahaya Sangham of women in association with IAS as part of women’s day celebration .

Description :

Members of Electrical and Electronics Engineering department community service cell “SAMAJ” in association with MBCCET, IAS unit visited a group of ‘ PDS -swayam sahaya sangham ‘ on 8 March 2020 ,which includes two units of the same and give LED lamp assembly training. In the taining members of the swayam sahaya sangham got familiarized with LED lamp kit, its source , soldering iron , flux, led and the components. Student volunteers explained about the components and the process of soldering the components to the board and demonstrated the same. The explained the possibility of starting a LED assembly unit and its marketing .

Then volunteers explained different energy saving methods and the importance of energy conservations. They discussed the day to day situations where energy is wasted and what we can do to reduce the wastage of energy also circulated different leaflets explaining energy conservation act and energy saving techniques .

The third section of the program was corona awareness and Mr.Eldhose Mathew of S8 EEE explained the measures we have to take against Corona and it’s importance .

Activity:Training in Kudumbashree, the Kerala State Poverty Eradication Mission

Phase 1: The community Service Cell Volunteers of EEE Department has undergone a training in Assembling of LED Lamps as part of Phase 1 of Community Service to train different Kudumbashree Units, the Kerala State Poverty Eradication Mission.

Activity:House wiring for poor in association with NSS

 Description :
Department Community Cell has undertaken the complete household wiring of newly built home by NSS unit of college, on request off college NSS coordinator. It took 5 days work to complete on site during 31 Agust 2019 to 4 September 2019. The work is done under the leadership of Mr.Raju T.M, Mr. Mobin .M, Mr.Noble Baby and Mr. Abhilash K.R who are Lab staff of the department. Free time without lab slots and eveng time after college is ustilised for the same.

Activity :Rehabilitation work related to flood done by students of EEE department
Place: All over kerala
Date : July and August 2018

Students of electrical and electronics engineering department has actively participated in flood rehabilitation work in various parts of Kerala . It is organized by department community cell and as its not able to assemble together in a single place due to the flood condition , the students were advised to participate in the rehabilitation work as group and as individual where ever they can and it is needed. according to there accessibility and capability. Around 25 students along with and without teachers participated in the rehabilitation works during July and August 2019.
