The program of study outlined in the curriculum is to provide a detailed understanding necessary to meet the challenges of changing technology while being flexible enough to allow the students to purse in depth study in atleast one area of computer engineering. In order to attain this, the students are required to gain an understanding of mathematics and basic engineering sciences. The fundamental computer engineering course consists of courses in circuits, networks, electromagnetic, electronics, digital systems, communications, controls and energy conversion. Selection of elective courses in consultation with the academic advisor enable students to specialize in the above mentioned areas as well as in robotics, micro circuits, microprocessors and high frequency electronics. Very rapid advances in semiconductor technology have made sophisticated digital devices available as engineering tools.
The Computer Engineering degree programme is designe for those students who want a special emphasis on both the hardware and software sector associated with the incorporation of digital devices and microprocessor into various products and systems. It includes Computer Science and Electrical Engineering for software and hardware design.
Extensive laboratory work gives students experience with wired logic and micro programmed digital systems, microprocessors, personal computers and computer networks. The mission of the Department to bring out high caliber professionals with confidence to create a better world with a perfect blend of technical excellence, technological achievement, communication skills and human values. To achieve this goal, the department upgrades teaching methodology regularly and combines the final technological aspects of education, by providing excellent teaching facilities, laboratory facilities, seminars, paper presentations etc…
